Global Poker Masters to be broadcast live on Twitch

As first reported by PokerNews, the Global Poker Masters, poker’s World Cup, will be presented live, in five different languages, on Twitch. Twitch, one of the world’s leading video streaming platforms, will broadcast the GPM festivities live from Malta on March 21st and 22nd, 2015.

Twitch has recently seen star poker players such as 2012 World Series of Poker Champion Greg Merson and top social media wizard Jason Somerville use their platform in order to connect with fans. French superstar, and former World #1 on the GPI World Poker Rankings, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier was the most recent star to enter the world of live video streaming on Twitch – ElkY will represent #TeamFrance at the Global Poker Masters.

Global Poker Index Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Dreyfus told PokerNews:

“The Global Poker Masters will be broadcasted and promoted on Twitch in five different languages. This means that we will not only have the live stream of our event available in real-time on Twitch, but also that the GPM will be featured on the portal’s homepage, making the event visible to an impressive amount of online users.”
