Team Italy is set to be represented by its country’s past two National Players of the Year, Dario Sammartino (GPI#13), who won the PoY in 2013, and Mustapha Kanit (GPI#37), who recently wrapped up a Top 10 season on the live tournament circuit.
While Kanit is Italy’s reigning Player of the Year, Sammartino leads the country in the GPI World Poker Rankings, he’s currently ranked #13 in the World.
